Mayo at 55.51 for a new record
Hamilton :33
Sevilla 1:03
Mercado 1:48
Armstrong 1:58
Levi 3:21

WOW, and I don't think that would be Armstrong holding back...that might be too valuable to the competition. I am sure there are some riders feeling that he is beatable.

I'd recommend you re-title this post. That's one big-ass spoiler.

And you were going to come home and watch the coverage on OLN, right, girl27?

Woop! Good for Iban Mayo!

This is a great look into what could happen on Alpe d'Huez this summer. Bit of a shame Ullrich wasn't there, to get the full picture. I think Lance'll finish higher than fifth up Alpe d'Huez - but at who's expense?

I edited title in case some folks don't want to know. Yeah I know
its not shown here in the states but. . . protocol ya know?

I really wish I could see it on OLN tonight. . .Save the defining
moments of the Giro for when there's no live races. . .

So sorry...not meant to be the spoiler, I'll do better next time. Phonak with 2nd and 3rd just keep on looking better and better for the TDF. And that Lance is a crafty ole son of a gun...but a lot of people are gunning for him. This is gonna be one good ole TDF isn't it.

Thanks lotek...but no spoiler there, I think it just makes the TDF better and better. I also believe that Lance loves the challenge...only problem is who does he focus all that energy on...there just may be too many.

Mayo looks so strong! Makes the idiotic new TTT rules for the TDF that much more of a factor, since as far as I can tell, that would have been his only real weakness.

I still think Mayo will lose a good amount of time over the 60km ITT to (at least) Jan, Tyler, and Lance.

Can you imagine coming into that day with something like 1-4 min separating 3-5 riders.

Just keep in mind that Armstrong isn't going to go out there and give 100% for this race and burn himself out for the Tour starting in a couple of weeks (was one of the problems last year). He may have given 100% for this TT to "test" himself for the Tour TT. The same should be said for the other top TdF GC contenders as well, but then again who knows how the teams are preparing for the tour.

We'll have to wait until we see some pictures/video of the stage to see how "on-form" some of these guys are.
