Great Lakes - Equal to Last Year's Form

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

OK, I showed a few weeks ago how I was about 20% down on last years form. After CyLowe's ride, I'm now about equal to my peak last year ... and I've got quite a bit of the season still left. :thumb:
My sprint is still woeful but I have been working on it and it's getting better as the graph shows. The dotted line is last year.

Just so you don't feel left out, I'll respond . . .

lol,
A lot of people seemed interested in the last thread that got around data collection, power analysis, etc. so I thought they might be interested.
Seems I may have been wrong ... or else the self serving nature of the post offended. :50:

I've surpassed my form from last year :D I suck now just a little bit less.

I don't have any charts and graphs to show off, as I do most of my rides by feel (read poor/cheap).
As you noted in Cylowe's Double or nothing report CC, I am riding better.
I wouldn't say I'm back 100% yet, but clawing my way closer. Hamstrings heal slow :twitchy:
At least I feel confident that I can pedal with both legs now! :D

Maybe it's my monitor, but I can't read any of the labels or even distinguish the curves.
Maybe try with some different color curves/background and larger axis labels, or export to excel and replot. Allen/Coggan print direct screenshots as well and i can't read those either.
The issue is that despite your proclaimed lack of fitness from what I have seen you were, have been, and are one of the strongest riders amongst this group. So boo freaking who. It just means we might have hope.
But hey glad you feel better. ;)
Later.

I still want to get out to one of these rides this season at some point before you have too much chance to start feeling good about your sprint. I'm sorry I missed this one. Maybe I should have gone, because my race was pretty much a disaster anyway.

Recursive, I'll bet you put out over 1,200 watts in your sprint. That is over 30% more than me ... on a good day. It will be a long time (like in forever probably:o) before I will feel "good" about my sprint.

Ok, just making sure. :)
But lighten up a little bit. Now I feel like a d-bag. :p Maybe it means something.
But you still got me in the TTs I think, as long as you can stay upright.
Ok, next ride, I'll lead out any sprints.
Are we done with this group hug yet?

If I wasn't selling so much stuff on my site then I would train more so I could kick your ass.

I've just stopped trying and have decided to slow down and enjoy the scenery.

this is my new approach. with my close-to-1-year-old daughter at home, it's hard to not see her all day and go for a ride after work, only to get home and find that she's already sleeping. i just don't have time to 'train'

I had no problem with that. My son calls me bob and he now calls the mailman dad.
See...no problem.
