He totally earned it. Crashed on the last stage and had the witts to get up and step on the gas again.
Kudos Menchov!

And congratulations for putting on one of the best Grand Tours seen in years. Ditto to DeLuca - what a fight!

I will give it to Di Luca for making this an exciting race. I seriously did not think he'd be that strong. Having said that, Menchov rode a strong smart race. Congrats to him for adding the Giro to his Vuelta wins.

In honor of Denis, we should write his name properly, the Dutch way: Mensjov

I heard him inteviewed on a Dutch video site and he spoke in Spanish... not bad except for a few consonants, then followed up with some English... also not bad; as everybody knows, the Dutch speak the best English in Europe.

Spanish at 0:47
English at 2:20

Why is the Dutch way the correct way?

It should read (in Russian): Денис Николаевич Меньшов if you're going that route. Or at least Menshov.

How about not writing who won as the post title....jeez....I mean come on....sure after stage 19 it was obvious but 18 seconds isn't all that much time, something could've happened....

Why do people come to cycling websites / forums / etc. if they are trying to stay away from news that happened on a big day of ... cycling?
