hey all,
wondering if anyone knows the cheapest way to get my trek 6700 from Sydney to London.
I have left Sydney already and was planning to sell my bike and buy a new one in London but having seen the prices here I just want to bring my old one over.

Anyone know the best way to do this and have any idea of rough costs??
Thanks

ship it in a wood crate to avoid serious damage. i dont see it costing more than 200$

Ask these people for a quote, http://www.packsend.com.au/

I think the cost will be prohibitive but you can always ask.

wouldn't the wooden crate add a lot to the weight of shipping it?

While not the quickest or least expensive...

Seems to me it would be funnest to ride it most of the way :)

More seriously, do you have any chances of going back to Sydney for a visit for other reasons? You might then take it with you on the return.
