How many miles do you ride per day, week, year?

Me? 5- 10 miles per day, 20- 30 miles per week. For me? havent been riding a year yet. So far 270 miles. :)

Varies.

I try to get in lunch rides 3 times a week (more is impractical with work). If I've been good, I can get out for a long ride on the weekends.

I feel pretty happy as long as I am getting rides in. If I do less than 150/month I feel like I should be doing more. In the summer that is more like 200 since there is more sun.

Enjoy!

recently:
20-50 a day
200-350 a week

But I'm on goal for about 6700 miles for the year (6/24/03-6/24/04) Not too bad for my first year of riding, but I'd like to hit 9-10k this year.

I try to ride about 5 to 6 hrs per week, sometimes on the road bike some on the mountain bike so mileage varies. Love having the option of two bikes and on this amount my legs and lungs are starting to come around.

20 miles a day for the work commute. Another 10-20 miles in the evening. Maybe a 40 or 50 miler on Saturday or Sunday, with a 5-10 mile recovery ride on the other.

So somewhere between 200-250 miles. Maybe 4000-5000 for the 6-7 months of riding season.

From memory I'm closing on on my 10,000th km for the year thus far. I'm quite happy with that.

100 a week, spread out over 3-4 days. I'm about 1050 total YTD. Goal for year is 2004, but will probably get in 3K (miles).

So far this year (per my CycliStats program ):

For all bikes: 62 rides, 1,639.8 miles, 101:38:48 time, 16.132 mph avg, 76,135 calories burned (=21.8 lbs of fat), 81,362 feet climbed.

Monthly average: 307.92 miles
Weekly average: 70.86 miles
Daily average: 10.12 miles

And, yes, I love numbers and I'm OK with that! :-)

Normally 100 - 125 miles commuting a week, rides at weekend. Just back from a 400 mile week long tour in Belgium, Northern France and at 3200 miles for the year so far.

On that basis hope to do 6 - 7000 miles this year (only did about 5000 last year)

In good weather I've been doing 100-130 miles a week. Had a couple weeks at 170-200 miles.

When the really cold weather hits (Late December into February) I'll cut way back or stop all together. I tend to get sinus infections that time of year.

12-14 hours per week on average in season. I try to get in at least 1 long ride per week of 4+ hours while the others are mostly between 2-3 hours. Lately it's been tough to get motivated as it's done nothing but rain for the last month. 3 hours in the rain isn't too bad once in a while but three times a week is getting old.

During the winter months I try to get 8-9 hours per week of combined trainer and outdoor riding in.

I stopped tracking miles a couple of years back but would guess I probably have somewhere in the neighborhood of 3-4k for the year and will end up with around 8-9k.

[QUOTE=mrdoright0405]How many miles do you ride per day, week, year?

Around 20 per day.
About 100-140 per week, depending on the weather.
So far 760 miles this year, with a Goal of 3,000. (I'll be happy if I make 2,500)

This is my first full year riding and tracking miles - I started riding July '03.

Right now... 3 days per week... 20 miles a day... 60 miles per week. I'm moving at the end of the month and my commute will be 36 miles a day  ... we will see how many times I'm able to ride per week.

Never as many as I'd like :(

I seem to only be able to find the time to do around 100 mi/week--I'd like to double that

I ride year round, In winter I commute 150 to 190 a week (38 miles a day) and do a 50 mile rec ride on the weekend day with the best weather, starting march my commuting is 5 days (all weather) and totals 190 miles weekly plus errands, I do a 75 mile rec ride on Sundays through the end of April. Starting May I do the commutes, a century Wednesday evening and an all day jaunt on Sunday usually totalling 125 to 150 miles. Saturday is my day off unless I have an errand to run. Last years total was 15,212 miles and many worn out parts and tires, this years mileage will probably be lower. I really enjoy this, I hope my health stays with me as I get older so that I can keep it up, The bicycle adds so much good to each day because it allows me to see, hear and experience my surroundings first hand.

I did 5046 miles last year, 1920 miles so far this year and I hope to do finish 2004 with 3500 miles (infant twins will cut into your riding time...), . In May, I had 502 miles, hope to have at least that for June.

Usually 25klm, 6 days a week occasional longer ride so 150+ a week. For exercise and pleasure.
Family commitments and being winter limit time available.

Because of family issues I've gotten a late start training for RAGBRAI. As of 1 June I've managed 335 miles. What's that...167 miles per week. In the next week or so I hope to increase my training rides from 40 - 55 miles to 60 - 80 miles. And increase from four rides per week to 5 or 6. Right now I'm taking 2 - 3 days off per week, this will decrease as I get closer to the RAGBRAI start date.

Caloso, we were recently in your area with some Motor Coach problems. These problems, were minor, but costly, forced us to stop for a couple of days in Sacramento. We stayed at the Cal Expo RV park for a day (and night). We had our bikes with us and chanced upon a nearby bicycle/jogging trail that went quite a ways in both directions. We had a good ride on it.

Do you ever get out on it? Seemed like quite a few people were enjoying it, even though it was a week day.

day = 25-40 miles
week = 175-200 miles

Last year was a medicore year and I rode a little less than 4000 miles.
So far this year = 1430 miles

How many miles do you ride per day, week, year?

Me? 5- 10 miles per day, 20- 30 miles per week. For me? havent been riding a year yet. So far 270 miles. :)

Since April of 1982 through today, June 14, 2004, I've ridden 121,908 recorded miles. My biggest year was in 1986, 7,756 miles, and my least year was in 2000, 2,577 miles. To date this year, I have 2,198 miles, so it's probably going to be a year close to my average of 5,300 miles per year.
