I'm engaged!

Just kidding. But I bet you all clicked because that was an enticing preview.
Actually, I just gave my 2-week notice today, and will be back in Minnesota in about 3 weeks!

wow!
*cues up Mary Tyler Moore theme music*:)
And this is a happy return, I am guessing?

Its bittersweet. I really love CO, but deciding between geographical and career satisfaction, I know I am happy in MN, too and I believe a job change is necessary. And, there's always traveling- instead of taking all my vacation time to go back there, I can go other places... or Denver. :)

FWIW, a different department (career path I want to go into) at my current job inquired about bringing me on- and my current dept said NO- they didn't want other departments 'stealing' their employees.
Kinda sad, IMHO considering we should all have the same mission for success. No looks of surprise from the management today when I told them what I'm pursuing next.
Timing-wise it doesn't work for me to pursue that other job considering they are at least a month (prob 2) from hiring, and they still have to do a full interview process. I could potentially end up without that job AND burn bridges in the twin cities (considering I already verbally accepted and have been doing training & contract work for them)
woo! so you're like a MTM for the new millennium!:thumb:
You're gonna make it, gol-durnit!

Weirdo! :p
Sorry to hear that it didn't really work out for you, arti, but it sounds like you're making a good choice. :)
Good for you Arti, sounds like everything will turn out fine. You got to experience the Colorado life, and it sounds like you enjoyed it, now you know where to come back for visits. I hope the move goes well.

i'm confused. are you going to the "interview the employer" old job? so that worked out in the end?

Don't do it, too many hearts left to break, arti. :)
Congratulations on the impending unemployment!

Congratulations on the impending unemployment!whaaa? I'm unemployed?
whaaa? I'm unemployed? You put in your two weeks, and you won't be back in Minnesota (eh!) for three weeks. At least a week of freedom!

You put in your two weeks, and you won't be back in Minnesota (eh!) for three weeks. At least a week of freedom! aaahh almost! probably 2 days will be packing. triathlon is 1 day- a day of recovery, and the a day (maybe 2) of driving. so, that leaves me about a day!
I'm thinking you're hinting that you are ready to take a chance on love and no longer be our beautiful single artifice. ;)
Say it aint so, arti.ha, no. I'd say the bf is about 12.9% of the reason I'm moving. He's fabulous, but if I saw potential for a long-term and happy career out here I would stay. He's willing to follow. :)
Good luck Arti.

lol. i didn't see that option on the test.

You have to follow your heart. Denver, BTW, is not the be all end all, believe me. Besides, the schools are better in Mn for when you have kids. :)
