Well I am sure you want to remove the wheels and not just the rims. Rims are just one component of a wheel.

The trikes I have seen, I am pretty sure you press a button in the center of the hub and slide the wheel off. But I am just going from memory, so I could be wrong. :)

Both sides should have large nuts, but only one drives the trike. You will need a helper to hold the drive wheel as you remove the nuts. The nuts are under a plastic cap.

I never heard of joannou until I saw your post...apparently it owns Jamis, which was a surprise, but I can't find any pictures of a trike. A couple of stories refer to the company as "manufacturers of good-quality tricycles," which may mean the wheels DO come off (some low-end trikes are notoriously hard to work on; I saw one once that had the wheels swaged on). If you could provide a pic or some details, it might be helpful

EDIT: Couple of people got in with answers while I was typing. So...good luck.
