Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - HELP: Having troubles finding a 650cc Fixed Gear Rear Wheel

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Okay, so I finally gave up on my 10-speed. Prior, I decided I would convert it into a fixed gear. It had horizontal drop outs, it was heavy, but I thought I would make what I could out of my frame. When I tore the bike apart to start the conversion, I noticed the threading was rusting, my frame was deteriorating. Halfway through the process, I decided to just buy a new frame and start from scratch. I've only purchased already assembled bikes in the past. Never built my own, but I did some research and the concept seems simple enough with common sense and some minor details that need attention.
I purchased an IRO Mark V HD frame. I'm a small girl approximately 5'1" and I have short legs. I was sized for track bikes recently and was told 47-49cm European and 50cm American maximum, with consideration of stand over height, etc. I decided I'd try a smaller frame, just in case. The 49cm Bianchi Pista was even a bit too large for me.
The Mark V HD is restricted to an up to 650c wheel set. I can find plenty of front wheels in this size for a fixed gear (plenty of free wheelers out there), but I still cannot find a rear wheel with a fixed/free hub. I've been told these are rare and it's looking more and more like I'm going to have to get it custom built. Anyone have any advice or suggestions? I'm having such a hard time completing my bike due to this. I can't assemble the fork, stem, and handle bars until I am able to determine where I'm at with the wheel set and seat post...gah I feel stuck.
HELP PLEASE!

Your going to have to get a rear wheel built. It is really uncommon to have a 650 rear wheel already built. It's more of a special order type of thing.

You may have to have it custom built. I'd check with the guys at wheel & sprocket on ebay if they can order one for you. Better yet, call them: 1 866 995 9918
I had a very good experience talking to them, and they set me up with a set of machined braking surface front/ nonmachined rear, even though they wouldn't normally sell it that way. Your issue will be a bit harder, though.

Thank you for your responses. That's what my bike buddies have been telling me. Unfortunately, they don't know how to build a wheel set themselves so they've been suggesting perhaps going to a local bike shop to see if maybe they can help me out on a customer order. We have bike shops galore, but I have a bad feeling I'll receive a similar response. I think it would be best for me to go online and look around. Hope for the best and what-not.
Thanks for the number and the web site...I'll give those a chance and check things out. Again, thank you for the help. If anyone else has any suggestions I'd be happy to hear them still.

just do a custom wheel set. order rim, hubs, and maybe spokes(cheaper than at a shop) and have a local shop build them up. that's what i did and my wheels have been outstanding.
plus you can build it up to your choice specs

I actually didn't want or like the IRO wheel sets...which is why I am looking elsewhere.

i've searched this forum far and wide. and the original question on this thread seems to have been answered. so i'm gonna post my question here because it seems relevant.
can anyone recommend good 650c tires that will last a long time? all of the previously recommended tires in this forum seem to only come in 700c.

Velocity makes a 650 wheelset. Your local LBS who carries Velocity should be able to get it for you. A friend got them for the 48cm Continuum Cycles frame that takes 650s.
