Fingers crossed that my schedule will allow it by then... I gotta admit though, I had gotten used to the circuit at Dickinson Park the past couple of years. The downtown crit has always been one of my favorites also. About as non-technical as you can get and people still go down left and right.

I'm disappointed about the Dickinson Park race too. I was really looking forward to that thing -- where else can you have rattlesnake obstacles blocking a course??

But, to answer your question, I'll probably be at the Saturday circuit race. 35+.

Plan is for the wife and I to both do the circuit race on Saturday. My wife is pretty much a definite. I've been riding like crap so I'll wait til Saturday and see if there's any spots still open. If there are (or are not) it was meant to be I guess.

I'm pretty optimistic about my wife doing well.

I'm going to try and make the crit on Sunday. I haven't checked registration yet; up here there's never any danger of a race selling out. Should I be worried? (I'll be racing the 4s, BTW).

From what I remember, there were only about 50-60 people in the cat4 crit last year.

Yea, it's a cup race but no issues if you can't pre-register.

I did that race as a 4 two years in a row... can't remember if it was last year or the year before that an entire team took themselves out on the first turn, right into the curb. It's not a difficult turn but it is about a 120* lefthander with a manhole cover right in the center of the turn IIRC. This will be my first go-round there as a 3. Can't race 35's for a couple (okay a few) more years. Most of our guys race 35's and 45's.
