Anyone who's interested in Recumbent's in the UK (or anywhere that gets the magazine for that matter) might want to pick up a copy of this months Cycling Plus. They review Bike E (R?), a new Cannondale, that looks like a copy of the Bike E, made fom tubing rather than girders, and a budget German 'bent - Velotechnic Wavey (?). With references to other 'bents as well.

The latest Cycle Touring Club mag has a pro/con article on bents. It is a bit skewed, with pro being Windcheater designer Mike Burrows, and anti being a former Peer Gynt rider (these are notoriously long) bents.
I still come down anti on the grounds that its difficult to handle the bike when you are off it. How many times have I carried my bike and luggage over foot bridges on railway stations. Can you do that with a bent ? Id like to know.

I don't know about railstation bridges, but you can take a folding recumbent a lot of places. I ride a Bike Friday SatRDay which can be quick-folded and taken into buildings easily. Fits in the trunk of the average car.
