I am shopping around for my first fixed gear bike. Currently a used 59cm Bianchi Pista (2003) has my eye, it would be cheap enough that I could upgrade wheels, hubs, etc. I usually ride a 60cm road bike and I understand that most people end up riding a slightly smaller track frame. There are no 04 pistas at any of the LBS's for me to try, so this would be a bit of a gamble. I am 6'-3" tall with a 34" inseam. Also, I plan to try a little racing at the local velodrome (eventually) what do you more experienced people think about the pista as an entry to mid level racing bike? Thanks

I'm 6'3'', at least a 34'' inseam...I ride a 59 03 Pista...it is a bit small for me, but I hate big frames.
I like the bike..the wheels from the factory were kinda lame, as was the bb..it crapped out within 6 months. But, the price was right, and I'll have me a nice new track frame before long.

I come in right at 6' and I like my 57. I think my inseam somewhere in the neighborhood of 32-32.5".
I really like the bike. I dont have any major complaints so far, but i havent had it all that long either.
