Anyone ride a tri bike on rollers???
Just wondering how difficult it would be.
I have a roadie and am used to my rollers... just dont know how I would feel in a more streamlined position.

I don't have any advice to offer here, -but- am wondering what difference it would make? you can't make much use of aero if you aren't in motion?

it's not about the aero...its about keeping a steady cadence and correct form.
Have you ever ridden on rollers?

I imagine it's doable... I can see how it could be beneficial.
I have rollers, but no tri bike - go be the guinea pig & let us know.... :P

Obviously it's not about being aero, but it is about practicing in your aero position, which does take getting used to.

I have used my road bike with clip-on bars on my rollers. It can be done without much difficulty. Get it going and get your cadence and then go to aero. My most miles on a roller is 100+ on a Sunday during a blizzard. Watched the Bourne movies. What a long day, but that was just my road bike without the aero. 20 miles is the longest I have ridden with the clip-ons.
Riding the Tri bike on rollers is difficult when you first start. You need to actually steer a bit and have good pedaling form to keep the bike under control on the rollers. Needless to say that is harder on aerobars. However, if you master it, it will increase your confidence of your handling skills and pedalling form. I have tried it, failed at first....now I can do it, but not for long periods of time....I will do 1 min on hoods, 2-3min on aerobars for 4-5 sets. I mainly do this during the winter months.

I am comfortable with my road bike on rollers... I am just trying to see if I can get the TRI bike and use my rollers. A good deal of my weekly riding is on the rollers. Nighttime training is great.

I've only been on rollers once (with a road bike), and it was fun but definitely takes some getting used to. I was all over the place and never even got into the drops. I'd guess that getting down into an aero bar would take some time.
Perhaps with a wall next to you or something, you could use it for some added confidence.

Did most of my roller riding this February on my p3. Mind over matter. Forces you to be smooth and relaxed. If I can do it, I am sure you can!

it's impossible, every person who has ever gone full aero is usually found the next day by the loved ones mangled between the rollers. I can still remember when they found Merckx on a Quintana Roo, his lifeless body crushed between the aluminium and his soiled one piece skinsuit in tatters...
Still if you think you can do it go ahead. Just make sure you kiss your loved ones goodbye before you try to go full aero on rollers. You may never see them again...
