Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - My new fixed gear frame nears completion

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

After about a 15 year hiatus, I decided to build myself a new frame this spring. It's Reynolds 531 tubing (from Greg Parker at Bicycle Classics, who miraculously has a stock of this tubing), intended to replace or at least augment my old Atala "Grand Prix" fixed gear conversion bike.

Wow, it's gonna be very clean, yeah?

I really like the seat stays, very clean. I plan on doing the UBI framebuilding class in a couple of years and I'm trying to figure out what kind of frame to build. I may do a track frame similar to yours but I'm leaning to a cross frame.

Looks sharp. Makes me sad that I will never have time in my life to learn the art of frame building.

That's really nice looking. Can't wait to see what kind of paint it gets.

They're not actually marked Zeus, but they appear to be identical to the Zeus 2000 track ends in catalog #103:

As far as components go, I have a Zeus track crank, Gipiemme track hubs, and Zeus track pedals set aside for it. I haven't decided on paint yet.
