Okay, so I posted this in the thread above and no one responded so I figure start a new thread..

Hi, I'm new to the Fixed Gear / Single Speed bicycles, so I wanted to have some opinions from other people.
I am thinking of investing in a bike but not sure which to get.
I am debating between these 2:
Track Bikes - Mercier Kilo TT --> http://bikesdirect.com/products/mercier/kilott.htm
Dawes SST 1 Speed Track Bike --> http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/dawes/sst.htm
What do you folks recommend and why? Please give me the pros and cons for each bike. And I'm also not sure about which size to get. I'm 5' 10.5" with pretty long legs? My budget is about $350, so if there are better bikes I can get for that price, please let me know..

I also find many of these on eBay from this seller: http://cgi.ebay.com/55cm-Track-Fixed-Gear-Chromoly-Road-Bike-Bicycle-NEW_W0QQitemZ350209546557QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item518a1d993d&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1262&_trkparms=%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A30
Are these reliable and worth buying? What is the most you guys would pay for a bike from that seller?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks:thumb:

Get a KiloTT, check a chart on google for sizing, I dont know what size is good for some who's 5 10" (im 5 4" and I ride a 50 cm).

Just get the Kilo, you wont regret it, it's a really good bike from what a million people on this forum say (it's got it's own photo thread!). I'd get it from BikesDirect.com.
The end! =) Hope that helps you.

Agree with both posts. I'd get the Kilo TT, but also go to your LBS to test ride a few. You sounds like you would be close to a 56 size wise, but depending on other factors that could be 1 or so off. It's best just to go and ride a few and see what feels right for you.

Did you try this (http://www.bikeforums.net/search.php?) before posting multiple times about these bikes?

Its not as much height as much as inseam and other measurments. Go to your LBS for a good fit, or research online "frame size for road bicycle". You'll get tons of links.
I'm 6'0" with a 32" inseam and I ride a 58cm frame (though after researching you'll find that the seat tube measurment isn't half as important as standover).

Go research.
