General Cycling Discussion - Giant OCR 3 for $750?

I have found a bike shop that has a 62 cm OCR 1, apparently an '03 model, that they have priced to me for $750. It has 105 components on the front and Ultegra on the rear. I will need to replace the wheels as I am too heavy for them (310 lbs). They are 24 and 20 spoked wheels. Is this a good deal? I will probably recoup some of the wheel money by selling the lightweight ones on ebay or something.

I purchased a used '03 OCR 1 at a local bike shop that was only ridden about 15 miles . Mine has all 105's. Paid $700 out the door. I'd say that is a decent price since they retail around $1000. Make sure you actually test ride the bike because it is a compact frame which some people do not like.

Talk to your LBS about having the wheels replaced there. They might get you a new pair of wheels for a significant discount if they can use the current wheels on another bike.

I'm looking at this bike, and that price you guys' found is great! Where did you get that price? I wonder if I can talk my LBS into that price :rolleyes: :D
