I just mapped out this ride (http://www.mapmyride.com/ride/united-states/ca/-la-mesa/457124413868136655) and was wondering if anyone wants to do it some time?

I know it's a bit of a drive to get out to La Mesa for many of you but I'm just throwing it out there.

I'm not sure when I would do it, I'm thinking in maybe two weeks or so.

Any takers?

So we can do this on the 20th, Saturday. The NC romp will be the recovery ride. :thumb:

What's the climbing elevation?

MapMyRide says about 7300. Looks like a good route. Haven't been out that way in some time, hope the roads are good. Might need to get out the camelbak though.

Looks like fun, I'll have to see if I'm free that weekend. I've ridden the whole route, just not in a day. Only reason I won't go if I'm free are headwinds (dealt with that when I went to Julian last time, with camping gear) or it is really hot. Just makes it no fun. The climb up isn't as tough as it looks, plus the really nice downhill on 79 and old 80.

Here's the stick in the spokes: I can only do it on a Thursday. It's my one day off.

I'm out then. Weekends only for me for long rides.
