Our local Kona dealer has this bike in stock--Major Jake frameset, SS drivetrain. $1050. Sign me up.

How is the chain tensioned? Different dropouts, or an eccentric hub?
Is this an official offering from Kona, or a one-off build?
Edit: Nevermind- I have found more details. Major Jake frame with track fork ends, and looks like the Jake the Snake fork. $550 list for frame/fork.
But- anyone know if there are fender mounts? Looks like there may be, just above the dropouts.

linkage?
Google is unhelpful on this one. Unfortunately there is a windsurf board also named the Kona One.
EDIT: Use quotation marks when searching, found "this" (http://www.bikeman.com/KON-F09MO56.html)

I checked out the bike today. It is a "complete" available from Kona as a late 2009 model. As you noticed, the SS frame set is available also. The pic in the link is the stock complete: Gossamer crankset 42x17. Kore brakes, not sure which model, Tektro levers, Unbranded rims (Alex?) and unbranded sealed hubs.
A guy at the LBS told me about this last week. It definitely has my attention. I was thinking about getting a Cross Check frame to build up for SSCX this fall, but scandium for $130 more, yeah that sounds good!

If you want a SS CX, I'd vote for this or the Felt Breed. I like the fit on the Kona much better. The Crosscheck would be a fun option, but you wouldn't save any money.
