Another promising young Yank (http://www.velonews.com/article/92868/the-other-young-american---a-conversation-with-tejay-van) on the Continent.
A talented rider, for sure.

He's from Fort Collins.
I've been mentioning Tejay's for a couple years now, but rarely get a reply because most BF'ers only worry about getting their cat4 upgrade.
Question is, when will Rabo bring him up to ProTour? 2010? 2011?

I resent that...I've had my cat 4 upgrade for some time now and have been ignoring you for several other reasons. ;)
I'm going with 2010, they brought Dekker up pretty quick.

I always just figured that he was some local kid that you knew until I Googled him one day. Who woulda thunk that you scout the up and coming riders, too?

And expect Theo Bos to make the transition as well. he has proven himself quite capable at the conti level.
Thanks for paying attention.

Way more fun than following AAA baseball and seeing when the next obese pitcher signs for $100,000,000.
I'm a purist and always will be.

Update: You guys are on to something with this kid. Let's see if he can take it down tomorrow.

Taylor gets a ton of press, but this kid looks just as promising . He did himself well by signing with a top Euro team.
I also think Peter Stetina is going to be pretty good as well and I am hoping Garmin moves him up or he moves on. He's a climber and can TT and only 21.

I'm really starting to see good things out of Bjon Selander the last few years, doesn't get any press compared to Taylor or even TeJay but a solid rider on road and 'cross (better than Summerhill lately)

Comin' straight outta Wisconsin, one of the under-rated hot beds of cycling development. Bjorn Seelander (Livestrong-U23) , Cole House (BMC), and Ryan Baumann (Livestrong-U23) are all young up and comers from WI.
Tejay will be stepping up to Columbia-High Road in 2010.
Guess he didn't want to wait around wondering if he'd be one of Rabo's few PT picks from the many future stars on that squad.

He picked a good squad, Columbia has impressed this season. We've got some good solid American talent in Europa for several years to come.

Indeed. Tour of Switzerland: 6 /9 stages... Dominant.
