I just found out tonight that a friends Dad crashed on the SART on May 6th around 12 noon. His name is Jorge Torres. He has been a coma since the crash and has been through a few surgeries. Jorge is a avid cyclist and puts in a lot of miles.The crash happened on the streach between Imperial Hwy and Yorba Linda Blve. It was a solo crash, He wound up down the embankment in the rocks, His helmet shattered. There are a lot of unanswered questions about the crash. If anyone out there has any info please post here. Please Pray for the Torres Family. We all love our sport and this kind if news is a reminder how fragile life is and how in a split second our lives can change forever. Thank You

Sorry to hear about Jorge. It definitely reminds me of my own mortality, especially when it comes to cycling. He will definitely be in my thoughts and prayers. Best wishes to his family and friends.

Hey everyone, Jorge is still in a coma, His wife is still searching for answers. There were two riders who stopped and helped him. They administered CPR and stabilized him. Jorges Wife is searching for these two riders, She wants to thank them and talk to them about the crash. She still has no information about the crash, how it happened. She thinks these riders are from Yorba Linda, and work in the medical industry. They knew exactly what to do to stabilize Jorge and administer CPR.
