it probably keeps his man mellons safe. i never understood why girls bike were pro man melon while mens bike are anti man mellon.

I've found that the bicycles do better with a deraueller cause It acts as a chain tension
otherwise things can happen like loose bottom bracket from uneven forces If chain
gets to tight{what way Is the rear deralluer hurting anything the way It Is]

Thats what I say when I see Urban, DH and DJ bikes with inclined toptubes.

I have a frame like that in the garage, a Cambio Rino? If the owner gives it to me, it's gonna be a chopper.
Like with waaay too long forks. Already ran it with a 24 inch rear wheel. Easyrider.

Maybe nothing but it is another mechanical thing to break or whack and knock out of adjustment. It adds some drag, noise and weight which may or may not be important to you. Many might feel it is visually unappealing to have a singlespeed bike that looks like a multispeed. The fact is that there are alot of singlespeed conversions that have overcome the problems you mentioned. But ultimately these are your bikes to do with as you wish.

Why not run single chainring mid front and use the rear derailler? 5-7 speeders?.

I hear what your saying I usually do on some run the rear dearalluer and run centre chain ring In front
