Greetings BF members, I'd just like all to know I'm riding my fourth PMC this year and I'm always looking for sponsors!
I've also got a training/fundraising blog at www.marcpmc.com
There are links there in the header to see my PMC profile and pmc.org and to donate online, and also to read a narrative I wrote of my experience in the event last year.
For anyone local to my area (Worcester County, MA, NE CT, northern RI) I am offering bike tuneups as well, to include drivetrain cleaning and adjustment, cable cleaning/regreasing, brake inspection/adjustment, wheel truing, and wheel/bottom bracket/headset bearing inspection.
The tuneup costs a donation of $40, plus travel if I come to your house. Straight $40 if you bring it to me.
$30/bike for additional bikes after the first, and any number of bikes (within reason... per family) after 4 bikes (total of $160). Kids bike is $30/$20.
Thanks again, if you're not familiar with the PMC, you can read about it at www.pmc.org. The long and the skinny is it's a fundraiser to benefit the Jimmy Fund and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.
100% of all donations go to the charity. This is the 30th year and we have a goal of $30 million. Last year we raised $35 million. The individual rider minimum is $4200... the balance of which is charged to me credit card if I don't receive enough donations to cover it! It's a great cause, and I know money is tight for everyone this year, but I urge you to consider donating. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
