Does anyone know of any frame pump that will fit on a Trek 5200? I have two cages for water bottles so I need it to fit on the top tube but the rounded joint at the seat tube makes it tought to fit any pump I have found so far.:confused:

Why not get a mini-pump with a clip (usually included) that mounts underneath the water bottle cage? Blackburn, Topeak, Specialized,....etc. all make some.

I had a mini pump and it was fairly worthless. I would prefer a full size frame pump if that is possible.

would a umbrella pump clip work as an alternative?
I seem to recall alot of bikes using them when there
was no pump peg brazed to the frame.
The old Campy ones (go retro) seem
readily available.

I don't know if you will find a pump that fits those rounded corners. I understand your disdain for minipumps. I had one rated for 90 lbs that wouldn't get above 60-65. However the Topeak Road Morph, more of a mid-size, will EASILY get my 25 mm tires to 120 (max for the tires) and is rated for 160. It has a fold down foot peg, fold over T-handle, hose with quick release, and built in guage which features combine to make it almost as easy to pump as a floor pump. As far as I am concerned it has to be the best carry along pump I can imagine. It comes with a velcro on clamp that clamps on the top tube. I will make you the same bet I have made others. Try one, and if it doesn't meet your needs I will buy it from you for whatever you paid for it. I've been thinking about getting one for one of my other bikes anyway. Has to be a Road Morph though, not the mountain bike version.

Have you thought about the compressed air cartridges? You buy a gizmo that the canisters fit into to inflate either presta or schrader valves. I carry along a plastic air gauge to make sure I have the right pressure. This is, I am assuming, just to carry along for road emergencies and you have a regular floor pump at home. The cartridges at a bike shop can be expensive, so buy them at a hobby shop for a lot less $.
