When you post, we all see them but some are decidedly strange, weird or wonderous so with that in mind tell us -----What is it and why did you pick it to use ? I,ll start, mine is "Secret Squirell" , the reason being me and some "mates" like to go for a beer or 3 on a friday nite so we started the "Secret Squirell" club, (Do I need to say anymore fella,s ?) so now you know, Your turn ! cheers NED !:D
<-- Helmet. I've survived being struck by a motorvehicle twice now. This most rescent incident, when I opened my eyes and I saw the my head heading for the pavement, I swear to God the very first thing that went through my mind was "and this is why those idiots need to wear helmets!" I was referring to the countless I see everyday riding around the Portland Metro Area w/o them.
4 fractured bones, a torn up leg...I'm cycling vicariously through y'all here on BF until the docs and physical therapy releases me :D
I was doing a Reynolds 3 tubes decal graphic in French and got bored. So I did one in Russian. Now I am thinking about doing one in Chinese too.

Daffy Duck - to try to slow down Operator's verbal slings & arrows. I mean, how can you argue with Daffy Duck, right? So it provides a warning shot of the words that will follow unless....chill....chill....(down Fido - down).
You asked! So that was my initial motivation. It has expanded to include a plethora of occasions encountered on an internet forum. Having been a super-moderator up the line, dealing with over a million people from the whole world, I've rather learned what is possible. I'm sure any of the local mods could tell you some good war-stories from the trenches! :D

Mine came about after a BF'er ( sorry can't remember who) that found a Tommasini that had various part ground off it and his name painted on it, Drew. The thread was something like "I hate Drew more then words can say". So the that turned into the now famous "Drewed bike" as in "That bike was Drewed up!"
So being a retro grouch and not wanting any more bikes being "Drewed", I found this pic of Drew Carey and used it for my avatar. I did have one guy awhile back take my avatar as a personal insult to Cleveland, LOL. For the record I don't hate Drew Carey or Cleveland, just people who hack up great bikes.

Mine is an alter ego of myself from a comic I've been drawing since highschool.
Gene is an incredibly violent, incredibly vulgar person with a plethora of guns, swords, and explosives that he never hesitates to whip out and use. I mainly created him that way because he was a good outlet for my pent up (since depleted) aggression. He's been used in three different series of comics amongst my friends. Mine: The Unnecessary Force; My friend Brians: The Oblivion Archives (same canon as The UF) and Bladen Force. Gene is only a minor character in The Oblivion Archives, but a main character in The UF and Bladen Force.

I only started using one recently. NYC subway stations often have art projects, and many of those are tile murals built into the ceramic tile walls. One of my favorites is the "Broadway Diary" series by Timothy Snell in the 8th St. station on the N/R line. It's street scenes from the NYU area. I "chopped" the circular composition (apologies, Mr Snell) because it uses up a lot of height for a post when I don't have that much to say. I particularly like the one with the dog (Jack Russell?), but it's not bike-related.

Pompous VC guy from the Pearls comic strip. I tend to change mine up a lot.
Last name is Fischer. My (current) avatar is a fish on a bike. Doesn't take much to connect the dots. Previous to this one I used the Gazelle headbadge as my avatar for a long time. And previous to that I had a barracuda drawing as my avatar.

My avatar is the label from a local micro brewery, Bell's Oberon. I like the beer and I think the label is cool. It also reflects my sunny outlook on life.
Maybe one day I'll restore a bike and use it as a head badge.

My avatar is a pic of my two kids. They are my two little partners in crime when it comes to cleaning and working on my bikes, They also help me keep their mother clam when I bring in a new bike. I have nothing more special than them two.

I'm a musician as well as a bush biker. I tend to use "album" covers that have inspired me to keep a fluid and ever morphing style as a drummer through my career as well as music that inspired me to start playing at ws years old. Generally, I try to stay away from making any statements with my avatar. At times my signature tends to express my point of view on different contemporary societal themes.

I own a copy of this print, and if you ever come to visit me, you will see this in person. My photo makes it look rather creamy yellow, but it is actually a light creamy white colour.

The fellow is the late, great Joe Strummer. Not a cyclist, but a gifted songwriter from the early British Punk scene evolving into a folk rock/world rhythm musician. He wrote a song called 'Clampdown', in which he's utters the line under the avatar, which pretty much sums up my general attitude.

I on the other hand have never fallen off my bicycle (At least since I figured out a better way to dismount), nor been hit by a car. But then, I have only been riding for a little more than 55 years (That includes commuting in Detroit, Tampa, and Charlotte). Personally, I think that bicyclist who get hit by cars are pretty much like mice who get stepped on by elephants.

<<Mine<<
An old late 70s Normandy high flange rear hub. It was part of a set of hand-me-down wheels from my best friend's Peugeot. I replaced the chromed steel-ridged Rigida rims with a pair of Mavic Modules. And used them for my first bike build. After riding on them for a number of years, I upgraded to Campy and Ambrosio's. A buddy borrowed my rear wheel for what turned out to be a shady reason. (He used it for an insurance claim. His bike supposedly was wrecked in a collision, so he potato-chipped my wheel and used it as his.) I got it returned completely damaged except for the hub which I cut out. 25 years later, I found itamong my belongings and overhauled it and gave it good polishing. I hope to reuse it some day.

One of the nicest vacations I had was an American Road Trip in a Mustang convertible. So it, and my name, just stuck.
