Hi
please help with info for this Bike
It is a P8 but I can't understand all lettering

P8 SHM .60
5213028

P8 = Model ?
SHM = ???
.60 - Frame Size?
5213028 = S/N ?

Unfortunatly the frame is to big for me.
Should I bother renovating it ?
it requiers at least new chain and tires. and a good tune up.
If so for how much US$ can I sell it ?

Regards
Zany

I'm going to guess it is a mid 80's P8 in the 60cm frame size.

Can you name any mfgr and model name/number of the important components?

Can you post a picture of the total bike from the drive side?

WD40 and Simple Green are your cleaning friends. Steel wool will do more damage than good.

Do a search on rust for treating rusty parts. There are endless threads on this topic.

Watch your expenses, as this bike in clean, ready to ride condition is worth $125 to $150.

Would I restore this bike myself? Probably not, as it will take a significant amount of work, and was a pretty low end bike in its day. As is, you might get $25 to $50 for it. I have a very similar Peugeot (similar condition too) that I paid $14 for. I will part it out.
