Retro Grouch

The always charming and sometime super model Mrs. Grouch made the breakfast ride with me yesterday. We rode the first 15 miles or so at over 15 MPH which, I think, might have been a first for Mrs. G. At any rate, we were pretty happy with that.
Breakfast was good at the biker bar. Actually, while we were eating breakfast, there were more bicycle rider patrons than motor cyclists. I discovered it's real name is "The Tavern at Defiance". They serve pie there too but I think that the selection is limited. At this point it looks like a possible choice for "Pie Ride Saturday".
On the way back we chased down a pace line of 4 riders who looked to be in their 40's so we felt pretty good about that. Mrs. G even asked if we were going to pass them but I wasn't sure I could stay ahead of them so we just wheelsucked until they stopped for a break. We cruised the rest of the way and made it up the hill to our condo just as the rain stated.
All in all, a most satisfying ride.
