Hi folks,

Through a bit of serendipity (and an assist from Google) I stumbled upon this great forum. Perhaps you can give me some guidance. Although I handle online sales for a bike, kayak, ski, and snowboard shop, I'm not all that knowledgeable about bikes (at age 62 I'm one of the oldest active unicyclists around).

Our shop was founded in 1973 and the owner is a former bike racer. Over the years he has amassed a nice collection of vintage road bikes, most of which have never been ridden. He has consented to parting with his collection and I've started listing a few on eBay. As of today there are three listings posted in our eBay store.

I'm not sure the age of the bikes nor do I really have a handle on their value. I'll be adding several more in the weeks to come.

One particular bike that should draw a lot of interest is a Serena Brescia custom built bike. Eleven years before Roberto Visentini won the 1986 Giro d'Italia (shown below on a different bike) he won the World Junior Championships on this bike. It was given to a friend of Roberto's who transported it to New Britain, CT and it eventually wound up in the possession of our shop owner who rode it to victory in a couple of local races. It has a Campagnolo Nuovo Record Group. It is a five speed. It measures 56 cm from the center of the bottom bracket to the top of the seat post tube and the horizontal top tube also measures 56 cm (c-c)

Can you give me some guidance as to where to start the bidding on this piece of history?

Thanks in advance for your input.

this is a good example of a italian framebuilder...piero serena was in brescia (he died 6 or 7 years ago) and he also build the bike that visentini used for winning the '86 giro d'italia (under the battaglin badge-brand) you still own this bike??
p.s this is my first post...i'm from brescia italy, excuse me for my uncorrect english
