When you get a category upgrade are you re-issued a license for free? Or do you have to purchase a new one.

You usually just get a little sticker to put over your old number on your current license.

They will give you a sticker for free or you can pay to have new license re-issued.

Or you could just print out your current license information from the usac website.

I have never got a sticker in the mail. You should be able to go up to an official at a race and ask them for one.
