I want to get into racing sometime in the next few months. I'll be 17 in two weeks, and i've never raced before. First of all, i was wondering if anyone knew of or could suggest any bike races in my area( or within an hour or two's drive of it) that might offer entry level classes(i live in greenville, sc). second, the few races i have found offer only A,B, and junior classes. is junior the same as C? thanks for any help!

I attend a lot of races in NC and I believe Greenville has a lot to offer in racing too. I just did a road race in Spartanburg last week end. I think at your age you will race junior and my guess is that that is not the same as 'C', I am really not sure about that. I have only really sceen the A, B , C classes in cross racing and typically the C is Cat 5 beginner and B is Cat 4/3. Hope that helps have fun...
