Electric Bikes - Does Anyone Make Electric Scooters?

I ride a Xootr MG kick scooter about 1 mile each way daily to the subway. The route is pretty flat.

I am thinking about upgrading to an electric scooter for convenience.

Here is what I would like in a scooter:

reasonably light weight (under 20 lbs?)-- I need to carry it up 7 flights of stairs per day
good performance (~12 mph on the flats with 170 lbs of rider/cargo)
excellent reliability (no decrease in performance for at least 2000-3000 miles)
decent battery life (at least 5 miles, preferably 10 or more)
good brakes F and R (at least as good as a Xootr)
ready to ride out of the box (I don't want to customize or tinker with it at all)
good and reputable manufacturer with a decent warranty
easy folding (the whole point is so I can take it on transit and stuff it in a corner)

Does anyone make a scooter like this at any price?

Maybe a folding electric bike would work.
Honestly though, for a one mile commute, I'd rather do the mile on foot and not have to lug a vehicle up 7 flights of stairs.

It sounds like something like the Go-Ped I Ped 8 might be close, although I think it comes in at closer to 28lbs. Range is just a trade-off between top speed, range & weight (larger battery available).

Thanks for the replies. The Currie scooter is 52 lbs! Probably won't work for me. Folding electric bike is too inconvenient (I need a quick fold).

By the way, the stairs are spread out across the commute, so I don't climb them all at once.

Looks like the sky is the limit with go peds- $3000 for a scooter is a bit rich for me! Even the cheapest is over $1000. The one you chose (Iped 8) would be my preference as well. It's $1399 and goes 18 mph. Looks like it meets my specs other than weight (28 lbs). Looks like you can choose econo mode (9 miles at 9 mph) or performance mode (4.5 miles at 18 mph). I can't imagine riding this sucker 9 miles, so performance would be the way to go. I'd like to try one one, but at $1399 I can't see it taking the place of my xootr.
