I don't have long hair, I'm fact I use a 1 or 2 guard on a clippers to cut my hair. It is not shave but really short, so do I need to get a swim cap? If so, what kind? Lycra, latex, or silicone?
Thanks
I wear a swim cap because my hair becomes like straw if I don't. Sounds like you don't have much hair, so except for some aerodynamic value I don't know why you need to. You have to wear them in a triathlon.

My hair is about the same length and I never train in one but they are required and given to you at races.

I seem to have high eyebrows, will wearing a cap down low over the forehead help with getting a better seal with my goggles, I use the mask type goggles like Aqua Sphere ones

I would not train with one... I don't and my hair is about four inches long. Triathlons require it. If you do open water swimming, a thermal cap is a good idea, and sometimes i wear a cap to keep my hair relatively dry.

Tried to train with one and I didnt like it. Have to wear during a TRI. About two weeks before a race, I'll put one on and do some training to get used to it again.

I train with one, mostly because I knew when I started swimming that I'd need to wear them during races, so I may as well get used to it. Now, when I swim without one, it feels strange. I have really short hair too...
