I have a Promax suspension seatpost.
The mount for the seat is identical to the one on this Promax seatpost
http://www.amazon.com/Promax-Seatpost-SP-222-350mm-Black/dp/B000C14M74/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1244516585&sr=8-5

Today, the seat came off the post and I saw that the bolt (with 6mm hex head) just split in half.
I searched the web for replacement 6mm seatpost bolts and couldn't find anything.
I guess these bolts are manufacturer specific and not standardized bicyle hardware.

What do you guys recommend. Just get an entire new post?
Or are there sources for just the replacement bolt.
Would a local bike store have this type of replacement hardware?
Thanks

Go to your local hardware store with the old bolt and the part of the post that the bolt threads into (to make sure you get the right threading) and get one there. I typically buy all my bike hardware at the hardware store.
