Well did my first 200k, nice ride http://www.mapmyride.com/ride/ireland/co.-wicklow/325776157181 called the "wicklow 200" pretty happy with how it went I managed ride time of 7hr 20min. But have to say that the extra 40k over my normal spins plus nasty headwind for the last 60k has me pretty much shattered, What is the normal recovery method for this type of distance?, I have 5 weeks odd to go before I go to do the Etape du tour and want to get the most benefit from the next few weeks as possible.

I find it helps to do some easy rides. Otherwise, I'm no help on recovery.

Looks like a nice ride. Too bad about the headwinds on the return trip.

+1 It always amazes me how much more difficult a 200k is then a 100 miles. Those last 30 or so miles are about as difficult as the first 60.
