Registration has opened for the 10th Anniversary WOL Bike Ride benefiting the children of ALYN Hospital

Seven hundred riders from Israel and abroad are expected to set off on 1st November, 2009, for a five day journey. The riders will follow four different routes passing through the beautiful landscape of northern Israel. On the final day of the Ride a mass of hundreds of riders will leave the Modi’in Azrieli Shopping Mall and make the climb up to Jerusalem for the Grand Finale at ALYN Hospital. Why don’t you join us?

ALYN Hospital - Israel’s premier Pediatric and Adolescent Rehabilitation Hospital and an officially registered non-profit facility, is one of the world's leading specialists in the active and intensive rehabilitation of infants, children and adolescents, regardless of their religion or ethnic origin, who are afflicted with a broad range of physical disabilities. The ultimate aim of ALYN is to habilitate/rehabilitate the youngsters in its care and to return them to their families and to their community as soon as possible, having provided them with the skills to function as productive and where possible, independent citizens.[/center]

I love Israel so much it's not funny. Fantastic place and fantastic people. I've been.... 8 times? And I'm only 25. Even did a volunteer program with the Israeli Army. I hope to move there some day. If you get the chance to go, i can't recommend it highly enough.

Slicha Achi. I was unclear. I didn't mean that I've been on this bike ride. Just that I've been to Israel so many times. Unfortunately, scheduling is going to keep me from joining this ride. So that's why I'm not registered.

Edit to add:

by the way, the website for the ride seems to be down.

Unfortunately there is a spelling mistake on the address of our website- Thank you so much for telling me that you couldn't open it!! Try now: www.alynride.org (http://alynride.org)

I rode the Adulam trail almost everyday for a week back in May of this year. It was amazing, very picturesque, almost like riding through an Ansel Adams photo in stereoscopic technicolor. No kidding.
