I picked this bike up off my local cl a couple days ago for 600. I had heard of Havnoonian's great rep and wanted to see one of the bikes.

The truth is I really don't know much about the bike. Harry made the bike out of PA shop for his brother Frank who was apparently a professional racer. I actaully called his brothers shop up and confirmed the story.

The bike is serial number 63. It's made out of lightweight steel although I forgot the exact tubing.

It has cinelli bars and stem although neither are in great condition. It also has a pretty odd component mix.

Superbe dt shifters, suntour sprint crank, 105 rd and unidentified campy fd. Apparently these are the original components that were put on the bike. It also has some pretty cool "aero compe brake levers but they are kinda scratched up.

The wheels are sunrims me14a rims laced to 105 hubs. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about these.

They guys also threw in a free mavic rim with the ugliest hub I have ever seen on it but it seems ok.

I'm in the process of poslishing everything up and replacing the brake lines and housing. (If anyone knows a bike shop in philly thats good for used parts and cheap stuff for restoration lemme know!)

SO heres the pics! Sorry they are so big.

So what do you think its worth?

well assuming it fits you the main value is in the frame, and that's got to be worth $600 alone. I believe that Harry is still building (is he?) and I'm sure a new one would run well over a grand, if he's even still making steel frames, that is. The components are nothing special, but the front wheel sure doesn't look like a 105 hub, more like an American Classic (which is nothing to sneeze at) although the pink anodized QR is nothing to keep unless you love the look.
I thought I read somewhere that the early HHs were built of 531, then he switched to something else (maybe Tange or True Temper).

That front wheel is actually an extra. Its a mavic open 4 cd rim laced to an american classic hub and bladed spokes. Any idea what a fair price would be for listing this on craigslist?
