Hi!

Just gathered all parts to my diamant track frame from germany but when I tried to assemble the bike the headset didn't fit. I thougt it was 1" but the fork appered to be 26mm diameter. Also the seatpost is supposed 24mm in diameter which is really hard to find.

Is there anyone here that have had the same problem, and know a good solution?

thanks,
fabian

you need a renak headset which are still around on ebay germany or put a modern fork on it and put peaces of a beercan between headset and frame.
seatpostst are also still availble in the bay and are made of steel.

every east german frame uses the same headset and setpost size so you tont need some track specific stuff. but at least the bb is bsa und the spacing for the wheels is track standart...

but are you sure that frame is woth the hassle? the frames are heavy and flexible so any new generic frame is a lot better than a diamant..
