Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

any cheap hubs that are spaced 130mm and have 36 holes? does shimano make any? looking to get a touring wheelset built. strong 700c rim recommendations would be good too.

I think Shimano makes most of their hubs in 36 hole configuration. Tiagra and 105 and Ultegra are available, I know for sure.
My favorite rims are Alex DH22, but these are hard to find. Velocity Deep V are a favourite over on the Clydesdale forum, and those folks know something about tough parts. Although quality of build is as important as any other variable.

Tiagra hubs, Mavic A319 rims, DT or Wheelsmith spokes.
