Road Bike Racing - Vinokourov pulls out of the Tour

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. After his crash in the Tour de Suisse this weekend, Vino has pulled out of the Tour de France. :(
So, I guess that ends the T-Mobile leadership debate, huh?

Well, this is a huge loss for Vino, the TDF, and the fans. To Bad. :(
Hopefully he can ride in the team car for some of the stages, since he can't drive. ;)

That's what happens when you go 53km/h OVER the speed limit! Doooooooh! :D
Same thing happened two years ago, Vino crashed and was out of the tour. I guess that is the risk with the TDS- it's really close to the tour, any major injuries and yer out! However, T Mobile is a deep team. Cadel Evans is looking great.
This blows! I was really looking forward to seeing him battle out front. But, that's the way things shake out I guess.
Although I suppose he would only have been riding for second place, right?

Boy, that really sucks. He would have had things cooking in the mountains. The Jan/Vino tandem would have been formidable!

At worst, it would have been two separated, really strong GC contenders. Even if they didn't help each other, they would have been a big problem.
It's too bad, last year Vino really lit up the field. I was really looking forward to seeing him attacking the othe riders in the mountains.
