At that swap meet a couple of weeks ago a guy had a couple of these (not stainless, probably different in several ways but mostly the same to my untrained eye). couldn't sell them so he gave them to me. I didn't know what to do with them so I craigslisted them for $20 a pair. got several responses but sold to the first guy.
Then I see this;

I see Dahon folding bikes on my area's CL going for $100 to $200. You also actually see them being ridden out on the road. There are also Italian folding bikes from the early '70s on CL with asking prices in the $75 to $100 range. Their quality of construction is a little "dicey" as I recall from "back in the day". The Bromptons made in London are also priced in the $1500 to $1800 range when new. Somebody had one recently on NYC Craig's List for about $1,200.

Ok, Mine were kind of beat up, I figure the guy I sold them to got a good deal but he's got a little work to do.
I didn't make the Boater/Stainless connection. That makes some sense.
I'm into more traditional boats. Do they come in bronze?

I sold a pair of stainless dahons for $150 not too long ago. Who knew?
