Fifty Plus (50+) - How lucky can I get?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

While out shopping the other day my bride encouraged me to buy this as an early combination Birthday / Father's Day gift for myself. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000EWERSA/ref=nosim/topranktools-20
I've never owned one before, I just wore a sweatshirt or denim jacket or a rain slicker. The price at the LBS seemed reasonable and it certainly came in handy on this morning's commute as it was 52F at 04:00 this morning. I've also got a yellow waterproof helmet cover arriving shortly by Fed-X from the Hostel Shop to round out the package.

On a clear day you may be visable from Cleveland with that combo on.:D And, you'll be dry and comfy on those other days.
I have a performance generic rainsuit. Given the grease and grime that exists out on wet roads, I was a bit afraid to get something nice. Also there is this triftiness thing I have. It has served me well for LO these many years. Also it washes well so grease and grime seem not to be a problem.
Jump on the offer.

Your link shows to a UK site and no price given on it.
That colour shows up well in traffic and the make is a recognised good one. Don't know how warm it is but it will keep the wind out and hence stop you losing heat. Good choice on the jacket.

Good kit's a lasting joy. Many happy miles in it!
(In answer to your question, 'how lucky can I get' - probably that's the pinnacle. Downhill all the way in flappy binliners and duct tape from here onwards)
Enjoy!
