So I tried to "fix" one of my pedals and unfortunately caused a bigger issue as the bearings came loose. I had a major sqeak going on and I took apart the pedal to see if it needed grease or had a bad bearing. I must have pulled the middle axle out too far because one of the middle bearings came out of position. Looking at this diagram shows the pedal:

What is the best way to repack the bearings? I haven't actually done bearings before and they kept getting stuck to the screw driver when I would push them back in place. I figure I'll have to clean the old grease out and replace the bearings and repack them but is there a special bearing tool for putting them in place or special way of doing it without them popping out? The one set of bearings (crank side) are way inside and difficult to reach. Any bearing expert tips would be appreciated. :P
