After 10 weeks of riding in the mtns, 4000-7200 ft climbing rides, I think I'm ready. My legs feel great! Down 22 lbs and totally relaxed about the ride. My 4th time doing this 10,000 ft century (Ride Around the Bear). Last time was about 4 years ago.

I feel good and ready. But if I suck, I suck, no biggie!:D

Any other Clydes doing this ride. Socalrider, Boomer, anyone?

You have been really quiet.............Now I see what you have been doing...WOW!

It would take a chainsaw to drop those things. Congrats and good luck on your ride.

Be careful when you climb over the backs of the "skinny guys" on your way to the top;)

looks like a seriously fun 2nd 1/2 of a century :)...

doing a century that has just 1500ft elevation gain (pretty good for FL haha)... pretty intense considering my only long ride (100k) had only 400ft of gain... and i think most of that was from bridges haha

enjoy it man...

30 miles of pain. You can do it!

With a route like that I'd be glad to join you on the downhill section! But I live in Northern Indiana and there is more climbing there than I would find riding from IL-OH in total. Have fun.

The local rando's 600k this weekend has less climbing than your century!

Have fun with that ride. Can't wait to see what kind of time you post.

Thanks! I like the dark tan legs but I need to ride in Speedos if I wish to even it out. Don't worry, I won't post pics.:D

Hey Clifton. 5 years ago I posted an official 7:40 total time (7:10 ride time). Barcoded and posted results on the net. But I was 5 years younger and 7 lbs lighter. We'll find out just how old I've become!:p

I rode the Tour deCure Century here in southern VA on 4/19. It was an out and back route and according to MapMyRide elevation profile, the "outbound leg" was:
min: 0 ft
max: 82 ft
ascent: 394 ft
descent: -397 ft

Would that qualify as "pancake flat?"

Wow, that's pancake flat!:D
