This is TV cup on April 2004, commentator speaks Vietnamese but you all just need to watch the race.

1. Click here (http://www.htv.com.vn/htv/news_detail.asp?period_id=1&cat_id=413&news_id=14017#content).

2. Click on "xem video" which has windows media icon right next to it.
3. Video windows pop-up, click to "xem trực tuyến" in the bottom left.

yeah, the total distance of the race was aproximately 1000km, which turns out to be about 600 miles. I've download the videos and upload it to my server HERE (http://www.namnet.com/bike) .

Thanks, Nam, for the videos. Quite fascinating! I'm impressed that HTV managed to organize such a race. But how could the Vietnamese peleton get the South Korean guy win the yellow jersey? :)

Wow those were amazing videos. I couldnt beleive that there are more Vietnamese riders than me in this forum.

That was a very close race, the diff between the 1st and 2nd guy at the final stage was only 18 secs as i recalled.

Damm, i missed watching those races when i was a kid.

I thought it was a race from the north to the south, but apparently they only made a loop from Saigon to Phan Rang or so then back.

Is there any race that runs from Hanoi to Saigon?

Well, this is the 16th cup but the first time that they invited 2 foreign team: Korean and Thailand. Thailand team didn't do well enough. About the race, they change its courses every year, so yes I think in previous years they do race from Saigon to Hanoi.

its a joke. im viet myself, and i have 6'footers in my family. oh, and after 2nd watch...they WERE riding tiny bicycles !
