Hi, I'm considering a Rans Gliss would appreciate your opinions and experiences on one. Is $600 reasonable for one in good shape? Thanks, Bill

You may want to ask at Bentrider Online. (http://www.bentrideronline.com/)

The Gliss was available in several different forms. If it's a relatively recent 27-speed you have tested and like, the price is not out of line.

Thanks, BillThe Gliss was introduced mid-late 90's and died shortly after - presumably because of its 2k price tag. It was essentially a Tailwind with rear suspension and upgraded components. Be aware, it was one of the RANS models potentially infected with a defective fork. See: http://www.ransbikes.com/recall/

When I bought an affected 2000 Tailwind in 2006, RANS was very cooperative about getting a replacement part to me. Relatively simple process to check and see if a replacement was needed and then, to make the switch.
