I can spend about $300. I'm pretty sure I've been everywhere online and I can't find any set that aren't ridiculous $$$.

If I can't find any, how would the Vuelta XRP Track Team (http://bikeisland.com/cgi-bin/BKTK_STOR20.cgi?Action=Details&ProdID=611) on Bikeisland be? I like how they're laced there but those are heavy, and anyway I don't ever see Vuelta wheels to know about them.

Take the stickers off and they are all black. Or do you want black spokes/hubs too?

the IRO wheelset would be much better than those crappy Vueltas.

too bad with the Miches you have to use a Miche lockring. i hate hubs like that.

Yeah, I was interested in a completely black wheel, including the machined surface, which would have to be anodized.

I forgot about IRO wheels. They'd be going on a Jamie Roy frame anyway, so I might just do that.

Anodized machined side-walls? I doubt you'll find any of those because that simply makes no sense. Machining is when the surface is removed and smoothed.

Look at ceramics, instead.

Those look nice with the tire. I think these are only available in 32h. Would it be asking too much to find a rim that comes in 28h or 36h as well just to have the lower count in front? I might even build a set eventually.

I did have some black machined wheels on my old MTB that started showing the surface into the second set of pads. I hope it's nothing like that with nicer rims.

stock Soho S wheels are machined and then anodized.
