Hi, I bought new nipples and I kept my old rims, spokes and hubs. I went to the shop and it was $80 for the front and back so I decided to do it myself. I did it...but in a weird way. I put all of the nipples in and let the spokes hang there. I put all of the spokes in...hopefully the right way and I came to a problem. This is hard to explain...but you know the "X" shape that the spokes make when they cross over eachother? Well on one side of the wheel the right side of the X is over the left side...and on the other side of the wheel the left spoke is over the right spoke... I hope that makes sense. Is that a problem? Should I change on side of the wheel so it's the same as the other side? This is the front wheel (20") on a bmx racing bike. Also how do I go about tensioning the wheel?
Thanks, TVbuster.
