Great looking bike. What I don't get is how the disk brake is attached to a campy front hub. I like the wrech bolted to the water bottle mounts too.

actually, i think the rims are campys, not the hubs. he's got a surly in the rear.

Yeah I like that bike, is that fork fashioned for a disc brake or is that some sort of creative engineering going on?

That wrench is so cool. Then it occurs to me, he's got to carry an allen wrench so that he can get to the hex wrench to use it. He could have had allen nuts on the rear wheel and saved a step.

dude I'm gonna do that with the wrench holder thingie, thats cool. It looks like an old camp high flange hub and the disk just fits on the axel and is held w/ that fork bar attache thing.

Just realized: I don't have any braze ons on my DeBernardi. :(

Anybody have any other ideas for such a latch up for a wrench?

OK forget about it. I'm guarenteed to leave the house with out it 90% of the time :D

It actually makes a bit of sense to attach the crescent wrench that way, then you only have to grab a multi tool to fix anything on a normal ride. I know fitting the 15mm Craftsman box end wrench requires a larger saddle bag than most people carry. Good thinking, a little cumbersome when you do get a flat, but it's cumbersome anyway so what the hell.

That disc begs the question -

Why?

I mean, you don't need the stopping power for one, and lucky he doesn't, because if he reefed on that front brake with too much force the fork would probably fold.

As for the crescent wrench, that's a novel idea, but totally impractical. Infact, it's almost silly.

Nice handlebars. They're not Nitto Moustaches, are they? They look a little different.

Thats not what I ever called a crescent wrench. It looks like a drilled out light weight box wrench. Crescent wrenches are adjustable aren't they? I like the wrench idea, definatly mostly on the cosmetic side but then those breaks are too...

the nut/bolt could be knurled so he can screw it on/off with his bare hands...

use tape or put it in your pocket

I cut the open end of my 15mm box wrench off, then wrapped in in electrical tape and stuck it in my seat bag. Fits perfect.

or get a surly jethro tool, you weiners

I wouldn't do it, but you could use some kind of cam (like a QR skewer perhaps). You could just weld a bottle-boss-sized bolt onto the end of an axle you've cut short. Again, I think it's pretty goofy to bolt a wrench onto your bike, but it's an idea.
