sounds like an awesome ride. What was your gear ratio? 4-5lbs lighter?? that's not good...

Sufferage indeed means "the right to vote". Glad you had a good ride though.

That's 'suffrage'. It's a pun. Get it?

God help me, I thought exactly the same thing.

19.5 mph average over 100 miles is really excellent, man. I'm impressed!

I don't mind the total altitude gain, it's the steepness of the grade that hurts.
what's the steepest grades you climbed?

...and 4-5lbs lighter at the finish, I know how that feels, not nice.

Where was this? Sounds like a grueling but good ride. I hope you're taking care of yourself post-ride. Rest up. Take any pictures?

One of the Descendents' weaker tracks, in my opinion.

What was your gear ratio?

46x16...actually 76GI, not 78 as stated.

you couldnt be bothered for another 0.4 miles?

god no. when we hit the parking lot i couldn't get helmet/gloves/shoes off and flop in the grass fast enough.

what's the steepest grades you climbed?

7-8% for less than a mile. most of the elevation gain came from endless rollers.

Where was this?...Take any pictures?

central NC. pictures? as in carry another 1/2lb of camera? not likely.

That is intense... I've been pleased if I can average around 16 for a 100 mile(-ish) ride. I need to find places to ride with more rollers and less mountains.

As did I, and was considerably underwhelmed that it was not.

I talked to that guy yesterday, he said they pulled up to the house w/ his bike sitting out front, there was someone sitting outside also. He said he wanted his bike back, the guy said he had bought it for $10, so my friend offered him $6 (all he had on him) and got his bike back. He said it was fine but showed evidence of an out of control ride/emergency bailout!

7 - 8% for less than a mile is decent. It's still brutal, though for most FG riders. Those kinds of hills on a FG really require to just put your head down, grit your teeth and HTFU!! :thumb:

im not being sarcastic. everyone can, but not everyone chooses to push themselves to the limit. if it happens to be 99.99 miles, then it is. i respect!
