August 30 to September 5, 2009

An incredible seven-day cycling adventure! 60 to 100 miles per day, from point to point in breathtaking Southern Utah. Starting in St. George, we ride to Carmel Junction (via Zion National Park), Bryce National Park, Escalante, Torrey/Capitol Reef National Park, Panguitch, Cedar City and back to St. George. Cycling doesn't get any better than this! Each route is a challenging adventure with awe-inspiring scenery. Over 500 miles with about 30,000 feet of climbing!

Entry fee of $1,345 includes: Seven unforgettable days of cycling, eight nights hotel accommodations (double occupancy, breakfast sometimes included), support vehicle providing snacks and lunch along the route, a roomy gear bag (35 lb. limit) to pack all your stuff in, a jersey guaranteed for all riders who register by June 15th, goodie bag and socks. Riders preferring a single room may pay an additional $400.

That is BEAUTIFUL country, but the days are flippin' hot around there, and the nights cool. Pack
appropriately.

Oh, and the starts at night there are probably the best I have ever seen anywhere in the US. :thumb:

Actually, once we get out of St. George, it's not hot at all. Most of the days we're riding at altitudes between 6,500-8,000' - so it's super nice. Temps in the 70s to low 80s. The mornings can be pretty cool - so bringing arm warmers and a vest is a good idea!

I absolutely love southern Utah. I've talked all of my east coast family into coming out next summer to meet me, my wife and daughters there for a massive family vacation, Griswald style. Now the trick is going to be explaining to them why I keep disappearing to ride my bike. :thumb:
