I'm doing my first race on July 3 and wondered if I need to purchase a license? Do I need to purchase a license of some sort or can I just show up on the morning of the race, register, pay the fee, and go for it?

Thanks for your help.

if it's an organized race, you'll probably need a license. i think you'll be able to get a 'one day' license when you show up for the race, but you should check it out first. do the race organizers have a web site or an email address\phone?

It looks like I can just download the 2004 release form and mail it in with payment or just show up a little early with the form filled out and the payment in hand. Is that how it reads to you?

Well I just e-mailed one of the organizers and I'm sure he will get back to me with the info. Thanks.
