Just built it up today, I am soo excited, everything on it is 2004. 2003 Wanta frame (steel with carbon stays). I guess this is everything that comes into question most often on this forum a Compact frame with carbon stays,oh well got the frame fork headset and seatpost for about 250. Built up with Ultegra(shifters and front) and 105 rear. FSA Gossamer cranks and Profile design stem and handlebars. I am also switching to a 27mm wheel from the Alex's which are currently on my bike. All I have to say is I finally agree, Steel is Real. This bike feels awesome. A hair under 19 pounds for a 55cm steel frame isn't bad either, I haven't even thought about weight yet but if I go to shave some I think I can get it to just under 18 (Seat is heavy and theres a lot of post I could cut off, and my profile design stem is a beast, If I drop the Continental 1000 sports thats another 150-200 grams), Well anyways a lot of weight I could lose easy. Bikes a great fit(for those of you who are looking at the height to handlebar difference my back is fairly flexible)

Wow! Looks really nice. Haven't heard of Wanta - are they a local builder? What steel did they use? As for the seat to bar height, I'd call it aggressive but not peloton unreasonable. The sloping top tube makes it look even more so. Enjoy.

He builds out of California and this was his personal bike and I saw it online and figured he probably takes good care of his own bikes so I bought it. I'm going from 8mm of spacers to 10mm.
